Heather Blanchard
Heather Blanchard, President & CEO of United Way of Acadiana, has always been driven by a deep passion for helping the overlooked—people who don’t just need support but unwavering advocacy. She thrives in spaces where she can generate change, turning challenges into opportunities. With a sociology degree from LSU, she began her career at CASA before leading multiple nonprofits, including Miles Perret Cancer Services, Healing House, and Susan G. Komen. Her expertise spans program development, organizational leadership, and driving impactful change. Since joining United Way, she has focused on redesigning programs, fostering youth development, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding resources to empower those in need. Outside of her work, Heather enjoys gardening, quilting, and home renovation projects with her family. Passionate about collaboration and sustainable impact, she is committed to building a stronger, more equitable Acadiana.
